The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology and the Dutch company OPT/NET B.V. have officially entered into a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. The cooperation involves the integration of advanced artificial intelligence solutions, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, into the educational process at all levels — from bachelor's to doctoral studies.
Thanks to the GoldenRAM platform (EU Grant Agreement No. 101138153), students and researchers will have access to geodata analysis tools and the AI Knowledge Packages (AIKP) methodology. This will enable the use of Earth observation technologies for the development of the critical raw materials (CRM) sector and significantly expand the university's research capabilities through access to high-performance computing.
The key contact party during the preparation of the memorandum, as well as the key partner in the process of its signing, was the Department of Information Technologies and Systems, Research Institute of the Dnipro Metallurgical Institute, which provided scientific coordination, formed a common vision of cooperation, and integrated project opportunities into the educational and research space of the University.

Кафедра інформаційних технологій і систем відзначає 25-річчя
16 лютого 2026 року Кафедра інформаційних технологій і систем ННІ ДМетІ відзначає 25 років з дня заснування.
Кафедру було створено 16 лютого 2001 року за ініціативою доктора технічних наук, професора Олександра Ілліча Михальова та на підставі наказу ректора № 20-А з метою підготовки фахівців за спеціальністю «Інформаційні управляючі системи і технології».
За роки діяльності кафедра стала важливим осередком підготовки висококваліфікованих фахівців у сфері інформаційних технологій, розвитку наукових досліджень та формування професійної ІТ-спільноти.
Нині на кафедрі здійснюється підготовка бакалаврів, магістрів та докторів філософії (PhD) за спеціальностями «Комп’ютерні науки» та «Інженерія програмного забезпечення» галузі знань «Інформаційні технології». Освітній процес поєднує фундаментальну підготовку, практикоорієнтоване навчання та активну наукову діяльність.
Колектив кафедри щиро вдячний викладачам, співробітникам, студентам і випускникам, які зробили свій внесок у становлення та розвиток підрозділу.
